Funerals

When a loved one dies the whole process of planning a funeral can seem daunting. Generally speaking the first contact is with the funeral director to make arrangements and, if you would like a religious service, they will contact the church and speak to the minister to agree a time and date that suits you, plus the style of service that you would like. Either the Rector or a colleague will take the service and they will want to talk to you to discuss what you would like, help you plan the service and offer support. It may be that your loved one has left instructions for their funeral and these can be discussed and agreed with the minister taking the service.

If you wish to have a burial or interment of ashes in Selworthy churchyard the funeral director can help with the arrangements for this, liaising with the church minister overseeing the ceremony.
